Accessibility Statement
We want every patient to be able to use this website, whatever technology they browse with. This page sets out what we do to that end and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Our commitment
ESJ Aesthetics is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, magnification, keyboard-only navigation, speech input, or other assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site rather than as something added afterwards.
The standard we work toward
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognised benchmark for making web content easier to perceive, operate, understand, and navigate.
We describe this as a standard we work toward rather than one we claim to have met. The site has not been through an independent accessibility audit, and we would rather tell you that plainly than publish a conformance claim we cannot yet support.
What we have done
Measures built into this website include:
- Text that meets or exceeds the contrast ratios set out in WCAG 2.1 Level AA against its background.
- Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning, so screen reader users receive the same information.
- Full keyboard operability, including the main navigation menus, with a visible focus indicator showing where you are on the page.
- A logical heading structure on every page, so assistive technology can be used to skim and jump between sections.
- Form fields with labels that are properly associated with their inputs.
- Layouts that reflow for magnification and for small screens without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
- Links and controls sized to remain comfortable targets on touch devices.
Known limitations
Some parts of this site are outside our direct control and may not meet the same standard:
- The embedded map on our contact page is provided by Google. Its accessibility is determined by Google rather than by us. Our full address and telephone number appear as text beside it, so no information is available only through the map.
- Documents provided for download, including new patient forms, may not be fully accessible. If you need any form in a different format, please call the office and we will provide it.
Telling us about a problem
If you meet a barrier on this website, we want to hear about it. Reports from people who use the site are the most reliable way we learn what needs fixing.
Please call the office at (770) 466-4700, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 to 5:00 PM, or use our contact page. If you can, tell us the page you were on and what happened. We aim to respond within five business days.
If you need help using the site
You do not have to wait for a fix. If any part of this website is difficult for you to use, call the office and a member of our team will help you directly, whether that means arranging your consultation over the phone, reading information to you, or sending it in another format.
Ongoing work
We review this website as it changes and address accessibility issues as they are identified. This statement will be updated as that work continues.
